Trauma to the cervical spine resulting in injury are known to be fairly common, especially among athletes but a broken neck usually leads to further complications and pain. Various precautions may be followed in order to prevent a neck fracture. The key factor for preventing a neck injury is to warm up before starting physical activity. Starting out your work out routines with a couple of stretches may not always be enough, you may want to include a series of aerobic exercises to release the muscles.
