Probiotics: Probiotics are defined as microorganisms that are believed to provide health benefits when consumed. The term probiotic is currently used to name ingested microorganisms associated with benefits for humans and animals. Probiotics include foods (i.e. yogurt), dietary supplements, and products that are not ingested orally like skin lotions. Bacteria and other microorganisms often thought of as harmful “germs,” however, a lot of these microorganisms help our bodies to function properly. Microorganisms in the human body outnumber human cells  ten to one. Many of these microorganisms especially in probiotic products are similar to microorganisms that naturally live in our bodies.
