Spinal Hygiene: Since computers and cell- phones have entered, office workers find themselves in degenerative postures all day. There are three concepts of spinal hygiene: One the spine should be straight from the front and should have natural curves from the side. Looking it up online there should be plenty of images of the spine in this proper alignment. Secondly, the spine should be able to move through its full range of decreased range of motion. The spine should move symmetrically and fully through all three planes of motion. And third the muscles around the spine should be strong and postural. Core muscles are a vital part of spinal health and should be balanced and strong. This is the definition of spinal hygiene, as the set of practices associated with preserving and maintaining spinal health. Along with home spinal care and regular chiropractic check-ups and adjustments. For Answers to any questions you may have please call Dr. Jimenez at 915-850-0900
