TriWest operates as an associate with the Department of Veterans Affairs, or VA, in executing the Veterans Choice Program for veterans in El Paso as well as throughout 28 states. The Veterans Choice Program grants veterans the opportunity to obtain care out in the community if they cannot receive care at the VA within 30 days or it they live more than 40 miles away from the closest Veterans Affairs facility.

For some time, veterans have been able to profit from chiropractic as well as health care benefits. Currently, the TriWest Healthcare Alliance company, has started an operations movement that may change the lives of many local veterans.
